The re-gathering of Israel in our time.
There are three chapters in the Scriptures assuring us as the latter day descendants of the lost-ten-tribes of Israel that YHVH our Elohim will re-gather us to go back to the land that He promised to our fathers in the faith, namely Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. These three chapters are found in Ezekiel 20, Jeremiah 30 & 31 and Isaiah 49. However for this study we will concentrate in the main on Jeremiah 30 & 31, and touch here and there on sections in Isaiah 49 & Ezekiel 20, to focus on what is presently happening in Israel.
We commence reading from Jeremiah 30: 1 – 3, in this way: ‘The word which came to Jeremiah from YHVH, saying, (2) “Thus says YHVH, the Elohim of Israel, ‘Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book. (3) For, behold, days are coming,’ declares YHVH, ‘when I will restore the fortunes (or captivity) of My people Israel and Judah.’ YHVH says, ‘I will also bring them back to the land that I gave to their forefathers, and they shall possess it.’” Jeremiah includes the Northern ten tribes which were exiled many years before Judah, telling them that they will again possess the Promised Land with Judah. We see from verse 4 that these are not only Jeremiah’s private visions and dreams, but it is what YHVH told him, as follows: ‘Now these are the words which YHVH spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.’ YHVH tells Jeremiah in verses 5 & 6, saying: ‘I have heard a sound of terror, of dread, and there is no peace. (6) Ask now, and see, if a male can give birth. Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale? This talks about the ‘birth pangs’ mentioned by Yahshua in Matthew 24: 8[1], the fruitful time of anguish in which the new man promised in Romans 8: 19 – 22 will be born-again, in this way: ‘For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of Elohim. (20) For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope (21) that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of Elohim. (22) For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.’ It is the closing of the door on this world of suffering, but also the beginning or crossing over into something new, a forerunner which also means ‘ambassador’. Whilst the head, Yahshua was born before she went into labor as per Isaiah 66: 7[2], the promise of the rest will come as per verse 9 of Isaiah 66[3], even though it seems impossible (Isaiah 37: 3[4]); His body is the result of this as recorded in Revelation 12: 2[5]. The deliverance will begin in Babylon (as we read from Micah 4: 10[6]), and His body is being brought together while we are still in exile. Many opposing factors will cast doubt on the possible birth of the One new man (of Ephesians 2; 15[7]), the reunited Israel – or the Kingdom of Elohim. YHVH will bring us to a point where only He can deliver us, similar to when He led the ancient Israelites to be trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, before splitting the sea open before them and saving them. In the same way the renewed moon comes immediately after total darkness.
Continuing in verse 7 of Jeremiah 30, we read: ‘Alas! For that day is great, there is none like it; and it is the time of Jacob’s distress, but he will be saved from it.’ The day is of great intensity and importance. It is the sort of dire straits that a woman in travail experience – referring to the narrow birth canal from which a child being born is delivered. Most ladies who have given birth can affirm that there is no pain that compares with childbirth. So verse 7 talks about Jacob’s rebirth into the world after he became a thing of the past. YHVH tells Jeremiah in verse 8, saying: ‘And it shall come about on that day,’ declares YHVH of hosts, ‘that I will break his yoke from off their neck, and will tear off their bonds; and strangers shall no longer make them their slaves.’ The word ‘bonds’ shows that even though Judah would be delivered from Babylon, it will not be totally free from its customs, until the last days. One such custom is the ineffability of Elohim’s name. We read more in this regard from Jeremiah 44: 26, in this way: “Nevertheless hear the word of YHVH, all Judah who are living in the land of Egypt (still in bondage), ‘Behold, I have sworn by My great name,’ says YHVH, ‘never shall My name be invoked again by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “As YHVH Elohim lives.” This is comparable to what Isaac told Esau he would do to Jacob in Genesis 27: 40, saying: “And by your sword you shall live, and your brother you shall serve; but it shall come about when you become restless, that you shall break his yoke from your neck.” Our Jewish Brothers are aware that Esau is Rome, and that Esau’s yoke has been on the House of Israel, from its inception – because Esau had the same father as Jacob; the Christian Church which started in Rome uses the same Scriptures to deceive its millions of followers not to ‘Judaize’. This is why Yahshua offered us a better yoke in Matthew 11: 28 - 30 – to get to know The Father as He does. If we truly follow our Master Yahshua, it will rid us from the yoke of religious agendas and deception and do what Elohim requires of us. That is when we will serve YHVH our Elohim as we read from verse 9 of Jeremiah 30, in this way: “But they shall serve YHVH their Elohim, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.”
Next we read (YHVH)’s instructions to Jacob for his soon coming birth pangs, from verses 10 - 17, as follows: ‘And fear not, O Jacob My servant, declares YHVH, and do not be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and no one shall make him afraid. (11) For I am with you,’ declares YHVH, ‘to save you; for I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you, only I will not destroy you completely. But I will chasten you justly, and will by no means leave you unpunished.’ (12) “For thus says YHVH, ‘Your wound is incurable, and your injury is serious. (13) There is no one to plead your cause; no healing for your sore, no recovery for you. (14) All your lovers have forgotten you, they do not seek you; for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the punishment of a cruel one, because your iniquity is great and your sins are numerous. (15) Why do you cry out over your injury? Your pain is incurable, because your iniquity is great and your sins are numerous, I have done these things to you. (16) Therefore all who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and those who plunder you shall be for plunder, and all who prey upon you I will give for prey. (17) For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares YHVH, because they have called you an outcast saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.”’ (or as the Septuagint (LXX) version reads: ‘whom no revisits’.”’ This tells us that no one goes to Jerusalem to keep Zion’s Feast Days (the Feast Days of Elohim) kept by Judah, as they used to. The reason for this is that Christianity teaches that it is no longer necessary to serve Elohim in this way. In addition some called out believers have again chosen to do things their way, by keeping their Feasts according to their so-called Biblical calendar.
Even so, we read from verses 18 - 21, “Thus says YHVH, ‘Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be rebuilt on its ruin, and the palace shall stand on its rightful place. (19) And from them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; I will also honor them, and they shall not be insignificant. (20) Their children also shall be as formerly, and their congregation shall be established before Me; and I will punish all their oppressors. (21) And their leader shall be one of them, and their ruler shall come forth from their midst; and I will bring him near, and he shall approach Me; for who would dare to risk his life to approach Me?’ declares YHVH.’ After the coming tribulation, YHVH will ensure that our leaders are fellow Israelites, not children of foreigners. We will no longer deify people who do not have our goodwill at heart. We read accordingly from Ezekiel 20: 29 – 33, “Then I said to them, ‘What is the high place to which you go?’ So its name is called Bamah to this day.’” (The word ‘Bamah’ here refers to a place of worship.) (30) Therefore, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says YHVH Elohim, “Will you defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and play the harlot after their detestable things? (31) And when you offer your gifts, when you cause your sons to pass through the fire, you are defiling yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” declares YHVH Elohim, “I will not be inquired of by you. (32) And what comes into your mind will not come about, when you say: ‘We will be like the nations, like the tribes of the lands, serving wood and stone.’ (33) “As I live,” declares YHVH Elohim, “surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm (meaning with Yahshua) and with wrath poured out, I shall be king over you.” This section is specifically talking to the Israelite people alive at this time. It is talking to Ephraim (the British Commonwealth) and Manasseh (the United States of America). Even though there are some of the leaders amongst the people whom YHVH is calling to come out of the false religions of the world, who insist that the USA is the latter day Babylon, we know this to be untrue. We are fully aware that USA is Manasseh, one of the two sons of Joseph – the British Commonwealth being Ephraim Joseph’s second son. Ephraim is also the collective name of all the Israelite nations of today, including the British Commonwealth and America, namely France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, Ireland and Switzerland.
Resuming in verse 22 of Jeremiah 30, we see that ultimately we will again be (YHVH)’s people and He will be our Elohim. However, it is going to go a great deal worse with modern day Israel, before Messiah’s return to rule us, as we read from verses 23 & 24 of Jeremiah 30, in this way: ‘Behold, the tempest (or storm) of YHVH! Wrath has gone forth, a sweeping tempest; it will burst on the head of the wicked. (24) The fierce anger of YHVH will not turn back, until He has performed, and until He has accomplished the intent of His heart; in the latter days you will understand this.’ Are you beginning to understand what is busy playing out before our very eyes? People I pray that YHVH will open the minds of our people to His truths so that we will be able to repent, before it will be too late! YHVH says in verses 1 & 2 of Jeremiah 31, “At that time, declares YHVH, “I will be the Elohim of all the families of Israel (Jews and Ephraimites including Gentiles who became Israelites through their faith in Yahshua our Messiah), and they shall be My people.” (2) Thus says YHVH, “The people who survived the sword (World War III) found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when it went to find its rest.” In verses 3 – 6 YHVH again assures us that He will rebuilt the united Israel, as follows: ‘YHVH appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving-kindness. (4) Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! Again you shall take up your tambourines, and go forth to the dances of the merrymakers. (5) Again you shall plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria (part of the area under dispute today – the West Bank), the planters shall plant and shall enjoy them. (6) For there shall be a day when watchmen (Nazarene or Notsrim) on the hills of Ephraim shall call out, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to YHVH our Elohim.’” Watchmen – Nazarene believers in YHVH, who are Torah observant – their portion is the Land of Israel, because they were yearning for the coming time of comfort, saying: ‘let us go up to Zion.’ But Yahshua tells us in the parable of Matthew 20, that the same blessing will be shared by those who come back to Torah even in the eleventh hour, because no one taught the truth earlier. The mountains of Samaria mentioned in this section, are the same mountains where ancient Israel used to live, before their captivity. The fact that all the tribes will again be called Zion means that they will have returned to obey the same Torah that Judah is obeying for the past 2500 years, and will be back in the Promised Land.
YHVH says in verse 7 & 8 of Jeremiah 31: “Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chiefs of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say, ‘O YHVH, save Thy people, the remnant of Israel.’ (8) Behold, I am bringing them from the north country, and I will gather them from the remote parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company, they shall return here.” The words ‘bringing them’ in the present tense indicates that it will happen suddenly. The Land of the North, where the Israelites were taken into captivity – but also indicate from the ends of the earth (as put in the Septuagint Version of the Tanach). The blind mentioned here are those who used to be blinded to the truth, but also the physically blind and lame, as YHVH is a merciful Elohim. We read from verse 9, YHVH saying: “With weeping they shall come, and by supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk by streams of waters, on a straight path in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.” YHVH will again give us favor with the nations from where we will return and they will give us gifts similar to the way in which the Egyptians gave the Israelites before they left Egypt, as witnessed in Exodus 12: 35 & 36, in this way: ‘Now the sons of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, for they had requested from the Egyptians articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; (36) and YHVH had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.’ YHVH will lead us in a straight road, where there will not be an opportunity to stumble (physically and spiritually). YHVH calls Ephraim His first-born – yes Ephraim is Jacob’s first-born, but we who are returning at this time is also (YHVH)’s first-fruits.
Continuing from verses 10 & 11 of Jeremiah 31, Jeremiah wrote: ‘Hear the word of YHVH, O nations, and declare in the coastlands afar off, and say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.” (11) For YHVH has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.’ YHVH wants the nations to know – by our teachings on the worldwide web, that He who scattered us will again re-gather us. He will gather us as a shepherd; He has bought us (Jacob) back from Esau – Roman Christianity who was stronger than us. Verse 12 states: ‘And they shall come and shout for joy on the height of Zion (in this case the Promised Land), and they shall be radiant over the bounty of YHVH— Over the grain, and the new wine, and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; and their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall never languish again.’ YHVH will ensure that those flesh and blood Israelites who survive into the Millennium, will never again suffer in any way. We read from verses 13 & 14, ‘”Then the virgin (Aramaic for the assembly of Israel) shall rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together, for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and give them joy for their sorrow. (14) And I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness,” declares YHVH.’ The people will faithfully share their wealth with the Priests and there will be an abundance in the house of YHVH, during the millennium. Verse 15 reads as follows: ‘Thus says YHVH, “A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.” Rachel’s descendants who left the covenant. The words ‘because they are no more’ refers to the entire House of Israel (all ten tribes), often called Joseph, being exiled into the nations of the world. The reason for mentioning Ramah here indicates that the lament will be like Jeremiah’s when Nebuzaradan, chief of the killers, sent a dirge (a song) from Ramah. However, Ramah is in the portion of land allocated to Benjamin, Rachel’s other son, and is both Samuel’s birthplace and where he was buried. Even so, Matthew 2: 18, quotes this verse regarding the infant boys killed in Bethlehem by Herod to try and kill the Messiah. Ramah is situated on the far side of Jerusalem and the outcry would have to be supernaturally loud to reach that far. Ramah was in the hills of Ephraim (as per first Samuel 1: 1), and Ephraim led the straying of the lost sheep of the house of Israel, whom Yahshua specifically came to re-gather from among the nations, as witnessed in Isaiah 49: 6, as follows: ‘He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My servant (talking about Yahshua) to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones (Notsrim) of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach the end of the earth.”’ Rachel is told to stop weeping, since her children will return, thanks to Yahshua who survived Herod’s massacre.
Continuing in verses 16 – 19 of Jeremiah 31, we read: ‘Thus says YHVH, “Restrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded,” declares YHVH, “and they shall return from the land of the enemy. (17) And there is hope for your future,” declares YHVH, “and your children shall return to their own territory. (18) I have surely heard Ephraim grieving, ‘Thou has chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained calf; bring me back that I may be restored, for Thou art YHVH my Elohim. (19) For after I turned back, I repented; and after I was instructed, I smote on my thigh; I was ashamed, and also humiliated, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’”’ After returning from captivity, Ephraim smote on his thigh – or inoffensively covered his loins, because he realized that he is uncircumcised (without Abraham’s covenant) and was ashamed and humiliated. In verse 20 YHVH asks: ‘Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him,” declares YHVH.’ Ephraim is the name by which the Northern ten tribes are known in the Scriptures. Ephraim the prodigal son of YHVH went far away from YHVH to live among the Gentiles and wasted his inheritance. Initially when they returned, they thought of themselves as mere spectators, glad to participate in the practices preserved by Judah, but then our Father YHVH revealed to them that they are actually part of the household of Israel as well. In verse 21 YHVH instructs Ephraim, saying: ‘Set up for yourself road-marks, place for yourself guideposts; direct your mind to the highway, the way by which you went. Return, O virgin of Israel, return to these your cities.’ The side reference against the word ‘return’ in the New American Standard Bible directs us to Isaiah 48: 20, where we are instructed to: ‘Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! (This tells us we need to get out of the religious systems of the world in a hurry – not defend them!) Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, proclaim this, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “YHVH has redeemed His servant Jacob.”’ Continuing in verse 22 of Jeremiah 31 we read: ‘How long will you go here and there, O faithless daughter? For YHVH has created a new thing in the earth— A woman will encompass a man.” Here YHVH tells those in Israel who are forever searching, but never come to the knowledge of the truth, to stop running around. This is like some of us who initially went from one church to another, without finding truth – because there is only confusion in Babylon. In the Hebrew wedding ceremony the bride encircles her husband seven times to ‘build a wall around him’. But the encircling mentioned here could be in terms of the birth canal (Jeremiah 30: 6), this time giving birth to a full-grown man – when the resurrected Israelites are born-again at Messiah’s return. The new thing spoken about in this verse is the fact that the House of Israel is beginning to follow Torah. However it also refers to the formerly virgin Israel, who is now a disgraced divorcee. Because our Bridegroom has died and we died with Him in immersion - our sins are forgiven and He will once again at His return be able to remarry us – that would indeed be a new thing on earth.
We read from verses 23 - 25, ‘Thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “Once again they will speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I restore their fortunes, ‘YHVH bless you, O abode of righteousness, O holy hill!’ (24) And Judah and all its cities will dwell together in it, the farmer and they who go about with flocks.’ (25) For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.”’ Despite the fact that many of the Israelites who are called out of the churches of this world, are anti-Semitic in that they are not interested in the Set-apart Days preserved for us by Judah, we as Israelites will be truly thankful for the fact that Judah preserved Torah for us, when Messiah returns on Yom Teruah, one day soon. The words in verse 26, ‘At this I awoke and looked, and my sleep was pleasant to me’, talks about those first-fruit Israelites resurrected at Messiah’s return, but it also tells us that when Messiah returns, those Israelites who survive the Great Tribulation and live on into the millennium, seeing everything clearly as explained in Mark 8: 22 - 25, where Yahshua healed the blind man, as follows: ‘And they came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man to Him, and entreated Him to touch him. (23) And taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes, and laying His hands upon him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” (24) And he looked up and said, “I see men, for I am seeing them like trees (this is indicative of the two houses represented by an olive tree – Jeremiah 11: 16), walking about.” (25) Then again He laid His hands upon his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.’ Whilst the majority in the house of Israel are partly blinded to Elohim’s truths – since they believe that Yahshua (the one they refer to as J*e*s*u*s*) have died for the sins of the world, they will only understand the gospel of the coming Kingdom of Elohim, at the second coming of Messiah when He returns to rule as King of kings and Master of masters.
In verses 27 & 28 of Jeremiah 31 YHVH tells us that even though we are in for severe punishment, He further informs us that He will once again have compassion on us after the soon coming tribulation, saying: ‘”Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast. (28) And it will come about that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy, and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” declares YHVH.’ We are assured in verses 29 & 30 that children will no longer be punished for the sins of their fathers, in this way: “In those days they will not say again, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’ (30) But everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge.” Even though YHVH is presently busy writing His Torah in the hearts of those believers whom He called out of the churches of the world, it will only be during the millennium that YHVH will make a New Covenant with those Israelites who survive the Great Tribulation. This is what YHVH is talking about in Jeremiah 31: 31 - 33, as follows: ‘Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will make a new (marriage) covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, (Yahshua will remarry both houses at His return; the reason being that He divorced Israel because of her idolatry {Jeremiah 3: 8}, but He will also have to remarry the house of Judah, since He died and left her in widowhood). (32) not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares YHVH. (33) But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares YHVH, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.’
Notice, as I mentioned in previous teachings, YHVH will only have to write His Torah on the heart and minds of Israel, since Judah already knows and obeys Torah. This should be an eye-opener for those Messianic/Nazarene Israelites who do not regard Judah as Elohim’s Lawgiver (as we are told in Psalm 60: 7 and elsewhere in the Scriptures). The house of Israel violated or more specifically changed Torah – the very reason for being scattered into the nations of the world. The Renewed Covenant will be much like the original covenant was, with only minor adjustments to reflect a change that has taken place. As I showed in a recent sermon, the Renewed Covenant was In Torah all along as may be understood by reading Deuteronomy 29: 1, as follows: “These are the words of the covenant which YHVH commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which He had made with them at Horeb.” The fact that YHVH will write the Torah on the hearts of the house of Israel, does not mean they will obey Him like robots – No, it means that they will obey Him from the heart, because they have come to know Him and therefore love Him. In addition, when Yahshua rules with a rod of iron (as per Revelation 2: 27), there will be no option, but to learn His Torah (as per Zechariah 14: 18). When Messiah rules the world from Jerusalem He and His resurrected saints will dwell in the world and will be teachers to the flesh and blood Israelites as per Isaiah 30: 20 & 21, ‘Although YHVH has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. (21) And your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”’ We read further from verse 34 of Jeremiah 31, ‘And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know YHVH,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares YHVH, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
YHVH gives us the assurance that the children of Israel will continue for all eternity in verses 35 – 37, as follows: ‘Thus says YHVH, Who gives the sun for light by day, and the fixed order of the moon and the stars by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; YHVH of hosts is His name: (36) If this fixed order departs from before Me,” declares YHVH, “then the offspring of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever.” (37) Thus says YHVH, “If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out below, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” declares YHVH.’ Even though the ten tribes of Israel have been scattered throughout the world, YHVH promised that He will restore us again in the latter days. We must trust His promise and understand that those who have accepted Messiah’s kingship, it does not matter from what part of the world they come, they are all part of the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But we also need to be mindful of what Ezekiel wrote in Ezekiel 20: 34 – 38, in this way: “And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out; (35) and I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I shall enter into judgment with you face to face. (36) As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” declares YHVH Elohim. (37) And I shall make you pass under the rod, and I shall bring you into the bond of the covenant; (38) and I shall purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I shall bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the Land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am YHVH.”
We conclude by reading verses 38 – 40 of Jeremiah 31, as follows: ‘Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when the city shall be rebuilt for YHVH from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. (39) And the measuring line shall go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah. (40) And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to YHVH; it shall not be plucked up, or overthrown anymore forever.” This is telling us, that similar to the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, the Promised Land will be rebuilt, but this time, it will not only happen quicker, it will last until the New Jerusalem come down from heaven, as recorded in Revelation 21: 1 – 3. The city will be a permanent structure throughout Messiah’s millennium rule and will be part of the religious ceremony welcoming the weekly Sabbath, presently a shadow of the soon coming Kingdom of Elohim. Halleluyah!
