How will Elohim’s kingdom be administered?

YHVH our Elohim has throughout history chosen people who were prepared to show Him by their actions that they want to serve and obey Him, notwithstanding their desires to do differently. Desire entered the world right at the beginning of mankind’s history, when  Satan’s seductive words led man to rebel against a prohibition of Elohim, as recorded in Genesis 3: 1, 4 -6, in this way: ‘Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which YHVH Elohim had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has Elohim said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” (4) And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely shall not die!” (5) “For Elohim knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like Elohim, knowing good and evil.” (6) When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.’ From this it is clear that the existence of a prohibition caused desire.

Satan pictures sin as delightful and desirable, as Solomon also wrote in Proverbs 9: 17, saying:“ Stolen water is sweet; and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But, before we are convinced of this falsehood, we should read King Solomon’s conclusion of the matter in verse 18 of Proverbs 9, as follows:‘ But he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol (the grave).’ Laws prohibiting us from doing certain things are necessary, since obedience to such laws indicate our acceptance that creation has a Creator. It is by adhering to the kosher laws given in the Torah, that we show our acceptance of YHVH our Elohim’s authority in our lives. We do this by accepting certain foods and rejecting other foods. Undoubtedly, the eating of kosher food and the keeping of the Sabbaths of Elohim are beneficial for our health, but it also shows Elohim that we want to serve and obey Him; it shows Elohim that we want Him to rule as our Elohim and King in our lives.

Even though we cannot influence people to understand and believe what we do, we are commanded to continue to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of Elohim into the whole world, as a witness to especially the Israelites scattered into the nations. We need to be ever mindful that we cannot call or convert anybody, since YHVH does the calling, as Yahshua told the Jews in John 6: 44, saying:“ No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.” Yahshua came to reconcile a remnant of the lost ten tribes of Israel back to the Father, but also to Brother Judah. However, once we from the lost sheep of the house of Israel are called by YHVH, we still need to accept Yahshua’s sacrifice for us and be immersed in His saving Name, after which we are sealed in Messiah with the Set-apart Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of Elohim’s own possession (as per Ephesians 1: 13 & 14).  The Set-apart Spirit is given to us as a deposit of what we shall inherit, when Yahshua returns, as He explained in John 3: 5 – 7, saying: “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of Elohim.(6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (7) Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” We read further about the way we will be born-again when Yahshua returns to earth, from first Thessalonians 4: 13 – 17, in this way: ‘But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. (14) For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, even so Elohim will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Yahshua. (15) For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we who are alive, and remain until the coming of the Master, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. (16) For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of Elohim; and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. (17) Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Master.’ Those people who are resurrected at Messiah’s return and who are changed into spirit beings; the first fruits will become the administrators of Elohim’s Kingdom under Messiah for a thousand years and on into eternity. But, where shall we ‘always be with the Master’ when He returns? We find the answer in Revelation 5: 10, in this way: “And Thou hast made them to be a kingdom and priests to our Elohim; and they will reign upon the earth.” A second witness comes from Zechariah 14: 9,as follows: ‘And YHVH will be king over all the earth; in that day YHVH will be the only one, and His name the only one.’

However, before this will happen,  there is going to be a great tribulation in the world, as Yahshua warned in Matthew 24: 21, saying:“ For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall.” When Yahshua returns one day, mankind will be in danger of destroying themselves completely, as Yahshua continued in verse 22 of Matthew 24, saying: “And unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” Yahshua will return to save his chosen ones – those who are led by the Set-apart Spirit to obey Torah, to go on into His millennium rule. We read more about the timing of this in Revelation 11:  15, as follows: ‘And the seventh angel sounded; and there arose loud voices in heaven saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Master, and His Messiah; and He will reign forever and ever.’ As prophesied by Jeremiah in Jeremiah 33: 14 & 15, Yahshua will sit on David’s throne as follows: ‘Behold days are coming,’ declares YHVH, ‘when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. (15) In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.’ It is also at that time when YHVH will enter into a new marriage covenant with both houses of Israel as witnessed in Jeremiah 31: 31 - 33, in this way:  “Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,’ (32) not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares YHVH. (33) “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares YHVH, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” This shows clearly that our fathers in the faith; Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the prophets, the apostles, as well as current day believers who overcome their sins and our Jewish Brothers who remain Torah observant until Messiah’s return, will be in the Kingdom of Elohim to assist and rule under Messiah as kings and priests during the millennium, as witnessed in Revelation 20: 6, as follows:‘ Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of Elohim, and of Messiah and will reign with Him for a thousand years.’ This is in fulfillment of the promises Yahshua made in Matthew 5: 3& 5, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit (the people who are humble), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (5) “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.”

In the recent past there were those who believed that first fruit believers from the house of Israel will be the lone rulers as kings and priest with our fathers in the faith, and that our Jewish Brothers will only be in the second resurrection, but Scriptures such as Zechariah 12 : 7 – 10, proves this to be incorrect, as follows” YHVH will also will save the tents of Judah first in order that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah. (8) In that day YHVH will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like Elohim, like the angel of YHVH before them. (9) And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (This is clearly when Messiah will return to fight against those who surround Jerusalem, before ushering in His millennial rule.) (10) And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.’ We have a second more descriptive witness from Isaiah 66: 20 & 21 where YHVH tells our Jewish brother, saying:  ‘“Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering (meaning first-fruits) to YHVH, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules, and on camels to My holy mountain(meaning government) Jerusalem,” says YHVH, “just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of YHVH. (21) I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites,” says YHVH.’  Yes, we the remnant of the lost sheep from the house of Israel will also be made priests with our Jewish Brothers, some like Phinehas whose descendants were given a forever priesthood by YHVH, for being zealous for Elohim and His people in Numbers 25: 13.

The thousand year reign of Messiah will be a period during which people, who survived the great tribulation and those who are born during the millennium, will be taught the ways of Elohim. They will no longer be influenced by Satan, since he will at that time be bound for the thousand year period, as recorded in Revelation 20: 1 &2, in this way: ‘And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. (2) And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.’ We must not forget that sinful people are not the ultimate enemy of YHVH, since evil is not merely a human failure or a lack of knowledge. No, evil is much bigger than mankind -  Satan and his demons are spirit beings hostile to Elohim’s government, they are Elohim’s enemy and it is His final purpose to subdue these evil powers and deliver human beings from their enslavement. As witnessed in Micah 4: 3, young men and women will no longer be called-up for army training any longer during Messiah’s millennium rule, as follows: ‘And He will judge between many peoples and render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they train for war.’ The problem which we had ever since the tower of Babel, where people misunderstood one another and misinterpreted the word of Elohim, will also come to an end, as witnessed in Zephaniah 3: 9, in this way:“ For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, that all of them may call on the name of YHVH, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” There will no longer be confusion or lack of understanding between people. All will use the same language to communicate with one another. People will live in safety, without fearing that criminals will come and attack them, during that blessed time, as recorded in Ezekiel 28: 26, as follows: “And they will live in it securely; and they will build houses, plant vineyards, and live securely, when I execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am YHVH their Elohim.”

As kings and priests we will teach people about YHVH and they will serve and fear Him. Those who refuse to keep the commandments of YHVH and refrain from keeping His Feast Days will not receive any rain, as witnessed in Zechariah 14: 16 & 17, in this way: ‘Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, YHVH of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. (17) And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YHVH of hosts, there will be no rain on them.’ During the millennium there will be positive explanation and correction (not condemnation); people will also be healed from their many afflictions starting in Jerusalem, as may be read in Isaiah 30: 19 – 26, as follows:‘ O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. (20) Although the Master (Adonai) has given you the bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. (21) And your ears will hear a word behind you, “this is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. (22) And you will defile your graven images, overlaid with silver, and your molten images plated with gold. You will scatter them as an impure thing; and say to them, “Be gone!” (23) Then He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture. (24) Also the oxen and the donkeys which work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork. (25) And on every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams running with water on the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. (26) And the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the  light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day YHVH binds up the fracture of His people and heals the bruise He has inflicted.’

Continuing on in Jeremiah 33: 6 & 8, we read more about the wonderful time ahead, in this way: ‘Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth. (7) And I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel, and will rebuild them as they were at first. (8) And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me, and by which they have transgressed against Me.’ We also read about the conditions prevailing in the cities of Israel during this times in Jeremiah 33: 10 – 13, as follows: “Thus says YHVH, ‘yet again there shall be heard in this place, of which you say, ‘it is a waste, without man and without beast.’ That is, in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast. (11) The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, “Give thanks to YHVH of hosts, for YHVH is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting”; and  of those who bring a thank offering into the house of YHVH. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says YHVH.(12) “Thus says YHVH of hosts, ‘There shall again be in this place which is waste, without man or beast, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds who rest their flocks. (13) ‘In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks shall again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,’ says YHVH.”

Some more is said about the cities during the millennium in Ezekiel 48: 17 – 19, in this way: “And the city shall have open spaces: on the north 250 cubits, on the south 250 cubits, on the east 250 cubits, and on the west 250 cubits. (18) And the remainder of the length alongside the holy allotment shall be 10,000 cubits towards the east, and 10,000 towards the west; and it shall be alongside the holy allotment. And its produce shall be food for the workers of the city. (19) And the workers of the city out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.” Agricultural work will be to the benefit of all the people who lived through the horrors of the great tribulation. Their physical well-being and spiritual development will benefit greatly by their participation in community work. Human kind will again experience the seasons; seed time and harvest as well as their connection to the earth.  They will again develop patience waiting for crops and animals to mature. There will be no more competition, as co-operation will be the order of the day. We read about this fruitful period in Amos 9: 13 – 15, as follows: ‘“Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine, and all the hills will be dissolved. (14) Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, and they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, they will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit. (15) I will also plant them on their land. And they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” says YHVH your Elohim.’

We see that everyone will dwell in peace and harmony under Elohim’s rule of righteousness and justice, as is recorded in Isaiah 32: 16 & 17, in this way:‘ Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness will abide in the fertile field. (17) And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.’ Isaiah 35 tells of the amazing condition of the world during Messiah’s millennium; Deserts will be reclaimed and will blossom like a rose. The exhausted will be encouraged and the feeble will be strengthened. The eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped and the lame will leap like a deer. Waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The scorched earth will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water. There will be a highway called the Highway of Holiness, but the unclean will not travel on it and fools will not wander on it. There will not be any lions or vicious animals, but the redeemed will walk there. The ransomed of Elohim will return and come with joyful shouts to Zion. With everlasting joy upon their heads, they will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Even the animals will dwell in peace during this time, as is recorded for us in Isaiah 11: 6 – 9,  as follows: ‘And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little boy will lead them. (7) Also the cow and the bear will graze; their young will lie down together; and the lion will eat straw like the ox. (8) And the nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den. (9) They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of YHVH as the waters cover the sea.’

We understand from the parable of the nobleman who went to a distant country to receive a kingdom recorded In Luke 19:  11 – 27, that Yahshua is the nobleman who went to heaven to receive the kingdom of Elohim, for which He already qualified. Upon leaving He gave each of his slaves the same amount of money (meaning the same amount of the Set-apart Spirit upon immersion), when he also told them to do business with it (increase in grace and knowledge) until he returns. When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he called his slaves together and asked them about his business. The first slave told him that his mina made ten more minas. To him the master gave ten cities to rule. The second told Him that his mina made five more. The master gave him five cities to rule over. The third told his master that he buried his mina, because he knew that his master is a very exacting man, taking up what he did not lay down and reaping what he did not sow. The master told this slave that he will be judged by his own words and took his mina and gave it to the one who made ten minas. In addition he said in verse 27: “But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.” This talks about the rewards that we will earn in the kingdom of Elohim, by using the spiritual talents that our Father gave us, in this life time. It talks about cities that the elect will rule over, during the millennium, depending on how well they used their given talents, but also how those who procrastinated will even lose out on salvation in the end.

The cities that those who qualify will rule, will not be the same as the cities that we are familiar with today. It will definitely not be as over-populated and built-up as the cities are in which we live today. YHVH is not pleased with the way that we are building our cities today, as may be seen in Isaiah 5: 8 & 9, in this way: “Woe to those who add house to house and join field to field, until there is no more room, so that you have to live alone in the midst of the land!(9)  In my ears YHVH of hosts has sworn, “Surely, many houses shall become desolate, even great and fine ones, without occupants.” We read some more about the restoration and blessings that will occur during the millennium in Zechariah 8: 11 – 13, as follows: ‘But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the formers days,’ declares YHVH of hosts. (12) ‘For there will be peace for the seed: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things. (13) And it will come about that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.’

After the Millennium, YHVH will again allow Satan to test the inhabitants of the earth. Satan will be loosed from his place of restraint to test and deceive those who are not in perfect agreement with the way of life of YHVH, as is recorded in Revelation 20: 7 – 10, in this way: "And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, (8) and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. (9) And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. (10) And the devil that deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." There will also be another resurrection after the millennium, during which time all the people who ever lived will be resurrected (as per Revelation 20: 5). They will have a hundred year period of training in righteousness, after which they will have to decide whether they want to follow YHVH and His way into eternity or not, as witnessed in Isaiah 65: 17 -20, as follows:“ For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. (18) But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold I create Jerusalem for rejoicing, and her people for gladness. (19) I will also rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in My people; and there will no longer be heard in her the voice of weeping and the sound of crying. (20No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred and the one who does not reach the age of one hundred shall be thought accursed.”  Yahshua explained about a time during which people from all generations will be judged at the same time in Matthew 11: 21 – 24, saying:“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.(22) Nevertheless I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of Judgment, than for you. (23)And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You shall descend to Hades(meaning the grave); for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom, which had occurred in you it would have remained to this day. (24)Nevertheless I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment, than for you.”

The account of the great white throne judgment as recorded in Revelation 20describes a time in history during which all people who ever lived will come to realize the reason for being born. We read about the people who never knew about Yahshua nor understood the Scriptures, in Revelation 20: 12. They will have books; meaning the books of the Scriptures opened to their understanding. This will be similar to when Yahshua opened the minds of His disciples to the Scriptures in Luke 24: 44 & 45, saying: “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”(This tells us that if we want to understand more about Messiah and His purpose, we need to study the Tanach.) (45) ‘ThenHe opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.’ These people will have their first opportunity to understand and know Elohim’s way of life. They will be given their first real chance (as there is only one chance) to make an informed decision as to whether they want to repent of their past sins, or not. Their ‘day of salvation’, their period of judgment will begin at that time. However, the wicked (who sinned with full knowledge) and the ones who choose to continue a life of rebellion, at that stage, will be burned to become ashes under the feet of the righteous as may be read in Malachi 4: 3. Those who repent, accept Yahshua as their Savior and overcome will be immersed into Yahshua’s saving Name. They will be given a portion of the Set-apart Spirit and have their names inscribed into the book of life. They will go on to become sons and daughters of Elohim and to live eternally in the kingdom of Elohim.

YHVH is a merciful Elohim and He will give all human beings a chance to come to repentance. He will bring the vast majority of mankind back to life and will fill those who willingly follow Him, with his Set-apart Spirit. In the end Yahshua will hand the kingdom back to the Father as it says in 1 Corinthians 15: 28, in this way: ‘And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, that Elohim may be all in all.’ Amein and Amein!
