Important Prophecies of the Major Prophets.

Would you like to know what is going to happen in the future? Do you wonder what this world would be like in the next five, ten or even twenty years from now? Do you know that it is actually possible to know what will happen in the near future? Do not misunderstand - I am only a teacher and not a prophet and therefore unable to foretell future events. However, it is possible for us to know what will occur in the near future, by studying the events which YHVH inspired His prophets to record in His word, the Scriptures. Three books in the Tanach, namely Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, contain many prophecies written by Prophets who were inspired by Elohim over 2500 years ago to record world events to occur in the near future.

YHVH used Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel to warn the nations of Israel and Judah of severe punishment, if they refused to repent of their sins and obey Him. Isaiah had a revelation from Elohim regarding Judah and Jerusalem and the spiritual condition of the nation. He prophesied over a period of forty years from about 740 – 700 BCE in the days of Uzziah, Jothan, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Jeremiah in turn prophesied to the nation of Judah from 625 – 585 BCE during the time of power of Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin and Zedekiah; a period that covered the final tragic forty years of the kingdom of Judah to the destruction of Jerusalem and the deportation of the two tribes living in the kingdom of Judah, to Babylon. The prophet Ezekiel prophesied from about 592 – 572 BCE. YHVH called Ezekiel to be His prophet whilst he was a prisoner in a slave camp near Babylon. Ezekiel prophesied primarily about the nation of Israel, however, in studying these prophesies we will see that they were intended for us, their modern day descendants. Let us therefore proceed to look into the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel to see what our Father YHVH inspired them to record about the years immediately ahead for the modern nations of Israel and Judah. A vital key that unlocks prophesy to understanding is the knowledge of who modern day Israel is.  To begin with our father in the faith, Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel in Genesis 32: 28, was the father of twelve sons. The families of these sons grew large in number and became known as the twelve tribes of Israel. However, after King Solomon’s reign the twelve tribe nation of Israel split into two separate nations, because he disobeyed Elohim, married many pagan wives and even followed some of their ways. The southern nation with its capital in Jerusalem composed of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi became known as the house of Judah and the northern nation with its capital in Samaria composed of the ten remaining tribes became known as the house of Israel. The two sons Ephraim and Manasseh fathered by Joseph in Egypt represent him as part of the ten tribes of Israel.

YHVH allowed the nation of Israel to be conquered by the Assyrians, because of idolatry and Sabbath breaking.  The first king of Israel after King Solomon, namely Jeroboam introduced the nation to idolatry and changed the date of the Feast of Tabernacles soon after becoming king over Israel, as witnessed in 1 Kings 12: 28 – 33, as follows: ‘So the king consulted, and made two golden calves, and he said to them, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; behold your gods, O Israel, that brought you up from the land of Egypt.” (29) And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. (30) Now this thing became a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan. (31) And he made houses on high places, and made priests from among all the people who were not of the sons of Levi. (32) And Jeroboam instituted a feast in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, like the feast which is in Judah (a month later), and he went up to the altar; thus he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves which he had made. And he stationed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made. (33) Then he went up to the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised in his own heart; and he instituted a feast for the sons of Israel, and went up to the altar to burn incense.’  This is similar to those Nazarene Israelite (or like-minded) believers who claim to have the Oracles of Elohim, and declare the Feast Days of YHVH on different dates to the Hebrew calendar, despite the blessing given the tribe of Judah in Genesis 49: 10[1] and Yahshua telling us that the house of Judah, or more specifically the Pharisees or modern day Rabbinical Jews sit in Moses’ seat  in Matthew 23: 1 – 3[2],  and not the Sadducees as He also indicated in Matthew 22 after they questioned Him about the resurrection of the dead, since they did not believe in it. They started their questioning by citing the command about the duty of a brother to marry his brother’s wife if his brother dies childless, in order to perpetuate his brother’s name. In their example they mention that the first brother had six brothers and each of them also dies after marrying the first brother’s widow. They therefore asked Yahshua in verse 28, saying: “In the resurrection therefore whose wife of the seven shall she be? For they all had her.”  Yahshua answered them in verses 29 & 30, saying: “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures, or the power of Elohim (to resurrect the dead). (30) For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven (who were created in multitudes and cannot procreate like humans).”

The Assyrians conquered the ten tribe nation of Israel in the years 721 – 718 BCE and took them captive as slaves to Assyria. But, this only happened after YHVH warned them through His servants the prophets, as witnessed in 2 Kings 17 verse 22 and the first part of verse 23, as follows: ‘And the sons of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they did not depart from them, (23) until YHVH removed Israel from His sight, as He spoke through all His servants the prophets.’ The Assyrians took the nation of Israel out of Samaria and settled another people in their place and the nation of Israel never returned to their homeland, but was eventually taken northwest into Europe, where some settled. The rest moved on into England and further on to the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. The seed of the Israelites were spread throughout the world and can be found amongst virtually every nation in the world. The children of Abraham have indeed become a multitude of nations. But, they eventually lost their identity, their culture and language because they forgot Elohim’s Torah teachings and started keeping pagan holidays such as Sunday, Xmas and Easter, like the pagan nations amongst whom they lived. The nation of Judah also went into captivity, about 120 years after Israel was taken captive. This happened in three stages, during 604 to 585 BCE, when the army of king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, invaded and conquered them. However, they were allowed to return to their homeland when YHVH stirred the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia to let them return to the Promised Land 70 years after their captivity, as is recorded in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. The prophet Ezekiel was commissioned by Elohim to go to the house of Israel with an important message, as we read in Ezekiel 3: 1, as follows: ‘Then He said to me, ”Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”’ However, when Ezekiel was given this message, he was one of many Jews in captivity in Babylon. As witnessed from Ezekiel 1: 1, he was already in a slave camp by the river Chebar near the city of Babylon at that time and far from Samaria, where the northern ten tribes had been taken captive 120 years earlier, and still further away from the Israelites where they have by that time migrated to.  In fact Ezekiel never took the message that YHVH gave him for Israel, to the house of Israel, since he was in prison and could not do so. Therefore the message that YHVH gave to Ezekiel is a prophesy intended primarily for the modern day descendants of the house of Israel and especially for those living in the western world.

All twelve tribes of Israel were greatly blessed by YHVH, even during their time in captivity. The Israelite peoples dispersed into mainly the western world, enjoyed an above average standard of living for many years, but because they are not grateful and instead of thanking YHVH for all their blessings, they have rejected Him and His Torah and became subjected to Esau or more specifically the Roman church. The Prophet Daniel described a ferocious monster to ascend after the Babylonion, the Medo-Persian and Greek Empires, as the Roman Empire, the dominant force at the time of Yahshua’s impalement and for more than 2000 years has strenuously labored to destroy the people of the covenant as the embodiment of Esau. The Christian church with its unscriptural doctrines, dispensational theology and anti-Semitic actions has shown itself to be in full partnership with the Roman Catholic Church rather than an emissary of Messiah, which it claims to be.  In describing the people of Israel the prophet Jeremiah said of us, their modern day descendants in Jeremiah 3: 1 - 3: ‘Elohim says, “If a husband divorces his wife, and she goes from him, and belongs to another man, will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; yet you turn to Me,” declares YHVH.’ The northern ten tribes of Israel went into captivity because of idolatry and Sabbath-breaking. Prophesy shows that they will soon suffer a much worse captivity and punishment because of their sins. But we will also later see how YHVH rectified this problem the nation of Israel caused, through Yahshua’s death and the immersion of a remnant of the house of Israel, to be able to remarry His bride consisting of a remnant from both houses of Israel.

Yahshua came specifically to bring the lost ten tribes back to worshipping YHVH, as He also told the Canaanite woman who asked Him to heal her demon possessed daughter in Matthew 15: 24, saying: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”  In fact Isaiah also prophesied about Messiah’s purpose in Isaiah 49: 5 – 7, saying: ‘And now says YHVH, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, in order that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of YHVH, and My Elohim is My strength), (6) He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones (or remnant) of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”  (7) Thus says YHVH, the Redeemer of Israel, and its Holy One, to the despised One, to the One abhorred by the nation, to the Servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes shall bow also down; because of YHVH who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.” Isaiah revealed Messiah’s purpose to bring back a remnant of the lost ten tribes to once again serve David their King, and YHVH their Elohim, and to eventually when He returns also make priests and Levites of some in Isaiah 61: 6, 9 – 11, saying: ‘“But you will be called the priests of YHVH; you will be spoken of as ministers of our Elohim. You will eat the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. (9) Then their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them because they are the offspring whom YHVH has blessed. (10) I will rejoice greatly in YHVH, My soul will exult in my Elohim; for He has clothed me with in garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland (a peer-shaped head covering like that worn by a priest), and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (11) For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so YHVH Elohim will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.”

YHVH used His servants, the prophets to warn both houses of Israel about their coming punishment and made them perform unusual tasks to get the attention of His people. Let us read about these strange tasks that YHVH required Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel to perform, to teach His people what is going to befall them in the future. We read the following prophesy in Ezekiel 5: 1- 2: “As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword; take and use it as a barber’s razor on your head and beard. Then take scales for weighing and divide the hair. (2) One third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take one third and strike it with the sword all around the city, and one third you shall scatter to the wind; and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.” This was a picture of what is going to happen to the descendants of the ten tribes of Israel, and especially those in the western world in the near future. We see the interpretation  of the prophesy of the thirds in Ezekiel 5: 12, as follows: ‘One third of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you, one third will fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.’ A third of us will die from famine and disease, another third will perish in military attack and the last third will be taken captive into all parts of the earth. There will be no escape for those who continue to rebel against Elohim and His Torah. There will be no place of refuge – no place to hide from Elohim’s punishment as we read in Ezekiel 6: 12 & 13: “He who is far off will die by the plague, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus shall I spend My wrath on them. (13) Then you will know that I am YHVH, when their slain are among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak—the places where they offered soothing aroma to all their idols.” However, we see in Ezekiel 6:  8 - 10 that YHVH will leave a remnant that will escape the sword among the nations and they will remember Him and will know that He is YHVH and His warning to inflict disaster on them was not in vain, as is confirmed in Isaiah 10: 17 – 23, as follows: ‘And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day. (18) And He will destroy the glory of his forest and of his fruitful garden, both soul and body; and it will be as when a sick man wastes away. (19) And the rest of the trees of his forest will be so small in number that a child could write them down. (20) Now it will come about in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on YHVH, the Holy One of Israel. (21) A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty Elohim. (22) For though your people, O Israel, may be like the sand of the sea, only a remnant within them will return; a destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness. (23) For a complete destruction, on that is decreed, YHVH Elohim of hosts will execute in the midst of the whole land.’ The remaining Israelites, if the prophecy of the thirds in Ezekiel 5: 12, is compared with Zechariah 13: 8 & 9[3] and Isaiah 6: 13, will be about 100 million[4].

Let us notice another unusual task that YHVH commanded Ezekiel to perform in Ezekiel 4 verses 4 to 6, as follows: “As for you, lie down on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie on it. (5) For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their iniquity, three hundred and ninety days[5]; thus you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. (6) When you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah; I have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for each year.” This was to impress upon the prophet Ezekiel and those who saw him performing this unusual task, the seriousness of Israel’s and Judah’s years of rebellion against Elohim’s rule and His Torah. YHVH also had an unusual task for Jeremiah when He told Jeremiah to take off his waistband (his belt) and bury it. After many days YHVH told Jeremiah to dig it up as witnessed in Jeremiah 13: 7, in this way: ‘Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the waistband from the place where I had hidden it; and lo, the waistband was ruined, it was totally worthless.’ We read the meaning of this explained in Jeremiah 13: 9, as follows: “Thus says YHVH, ’Just so will I destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.’” YHVH was showing Jeremiah that He will also punish the house of Judah for their sins. The reason why YHVH will allow the modern day descendants of Israel to be punished, may be seen in Ezekiel 5: 6, as follows: ‘But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations and against My statutes more than the lands which surround her; for they have rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.’ The modern day descendants of the ancient tribes of Israel have refused to obey YHVH and to live according to His Torah, and will be severely punished. This time of punishment is known as the great tribulation, the same coming tribulation Yahshua told His disciples about in Matthew 24: 21, saying: “for then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall.” We also read about the tribulation from Jeremiah 30: 7, in this way: ‘Alas! for that day is great, there is none like it; and it is the time of Jacob’s distress, but he will be saved from it.’

We read how YHVH describes the condition of the once great cities during the time of the tribulation from Ezekiel 6: 6, as follows: “In all your dwellings, cities will become waste and the high places (places of worship) will be desolate, that your altars may become waste and desolate, your idols may be broken and brought to an end, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out.” This desolation sounds like nuclear destruction. YHVH will punish the modern day Israelites because He loves them like a Father, as is confirmed in Hebrews 12: 6, in this way: ‘FOR THOSE WHOM YHVH LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.’ Verse 11 of Hebrews 12 informs us that even though this punishment will be difficult to bear, it will produce the desired results, as follows: ‘All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.’ After this correction the remnant left of the nations of Israel will turn to Elohim and begin to reap the blessings of obedience to YHVH. Once the modern day Israelites repent and cry out to Elohim for deliverance, He will hear their prayers and will send Yahshua to the earth to deliver them. When Messiah returns, there will be a great battle between Him and the nations who will have enslaved the people of Israel, as recorded in Zechariah 12: 9, in this way: “And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”  We read further about this battle from Zechariah 14: 12, as follows:  ‘Now this will be the plague with which YHVH will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth.’ This is what happened to the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan after these cities were destroyed by nuclear warheads dropped by the USA to put an end to the war. Yahshua will destroy these people to save mankind from itself and will start to rule the world from Jerusalem. Yahshua will free both Judah and Israel from captivity, as we read from Isaiah 11: 11 & 12, as follows: ‘Then it will happen on that day that YHVH will again recover the second time with His hand the remnant of His people, who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. (12) And He will lift up a standard for the nations, and will assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.’

YHVH our Elohim will bless those who survive the captivity and live on into the millennium, as we read in Jeremiah 23: 3: “Then I Myself shall gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and shall bring them back to their pasture; and they will be fruitful and multiply.” These prophecies in Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel give us a glimpse of what the millennium will be like. It will be a time of world peace, not just peace in Israel. All nations will become obedient to Elohim, as we read from Isaiah 2: 1 – 4, as follows: ‘The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. (2) Now it will come about that in the last days, the mountain of the house of YHVH will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. (3) And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of YHVH, to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways, and that we may walk in His paths.  For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of YHVH from Jerusalem. (4) And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war.”’ Whereas only the house of Judah is presently known as Zion as witnessed in Psalm 78: 67 & 68, in this way: ‘He also rejected the tent of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, (68) but chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loved.’ While the first Passover secured the redemption of the firstborn of Israel from death in Egypt, the offering of Yahshua as the sinless Lamb of Elohim secured the redemption of the lost sheep of the house of Israel. It foreshadowed and opened the way for the restoration of the household of Jacob to become Zion, the purified bride of Messiah, with the house of Judah once again, as we read from Zechariah 9: 11 – 13, as follows: ‘As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit (false religions with no hope of salvation). (12)  Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; this very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you. (13) For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion (those from the house of Judah and the house of Israel whom YHVH has chosen for salvation), against your sons, O Greece (or more correctly Rome); and I will make you like a warrior’s sword.’

It is by being immersed in the name of Yahshua the Messiah (as per Acts 2: 38[6]) and the laying on of hands of a teaching elder of the congregation (as per 1 Timothy 4: 14[7]) that those of us from the lost sheep of the house of Israel receive the Set-apart Spirit, giving us access to eternal life promised to Abraham and his descendants once again. Rav Shaul explained how we who are returning to the covenant relationship with YHVH, together with Brother Judah will be able to remarry our Bridegroom Yahshua at His return in Romans 6 & 7. We are given more details of how we died with Yahshua in immersion and will, if we remain faithful to the end, be resurrected similar to His resurrection as the first- born from the dead in Romans 6: 3 – 7, in this way: ‘Or do you not know that all of us who have been immersed into Messiah Yahshua have been immersed into His death? (4) Therefore we have been buried with Him through immersion into death, in order that as Messiah was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.  (5) For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection, (6) knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin; (7) for he who has died is freed from sin.’ Continuing with his explanation Rav Shaul describes the rest of the process whereby we will be able to remarry Messiah as His bride (as part of the body of Messiah as he also described in Ephesians 2: 13 – 16[8]), in Romans 7: 1 – 4, saying: ‘Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law of divorce and remarriage), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives? (2) For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband. (3) So then if, while her husband is living, she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law (of divorce and remarriage not Torah), so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man. (4) Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law (of divorce and remarriage in respect to our marriage to YHVH at Mount Sinai) through the body of Messiah, that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit for Elohim.’ As a result Yahshua will remarry both houses of Israel when He returns, as Jeremiah prophesied in Jeremiah 31: 31 – 33, in this way: “Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, (32) not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares YHVH. (33) But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares YHVH, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.”

The prophecies of Zechariah takes us from the present time during which YHVH is busy calling and cleaning up returnees from the lost ten tribes in Zechariah 36 to where He brings the two houses of Israel back together as one nation as described in Ezekiel 37: 21 – 24, as follows: “And say to them, ‘Thus says YHVH Elohim, “Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; (22) and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and they will no longer be divided into two kingdoms. (23) And they will no longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their Elohim. (24) And My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes, and observe them.”  Then after the two nations are living in peace on the mountains of Israel, YHVH stirs those who remain in Gog and Magog (Russia) and their supporters from Persia (Iran), Ethiopia and Put (Africa) and Gomer (China) to once again attack the commonwealth of Israel where they live peacefully in the Promised Land in Ezekiel 38 and more specifically in verses 8 - 12, in this way: “After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them. (9) And you will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you. (10) Thus says YHVH Elohim, “It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan, (11) and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls, and having no bars or gates, (12) to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.’ Continuing in Ezekiel 39: 3 - 7 we see how YHVH finally destroys these nations who will once again dare to attack Elohim’s people after Messiah has already started ruling them, as follows: “And I shall strike your bow from your left hand, and dash down your arrows from your right hand. (4) You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops, and the peoples who are with you; I shall give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field. (5) You will fall on the open field; for it is I who have spoken,” declares YHVH Elohim. (6) And I shall send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am YHVH. (7) And My holy name I shall make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I shall not let My holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations will know that I am YHVH, the Holy One in Israel.” Finally, Ezekiel 40 to the end of the book pictures Yahshua’s millennial rule, when He will make the commonwealth of Israel into the Kingdom of Elohim on earth, appoint the priesthood, divide the land between the tribes and re-establish the Temple service for the 1000 year rest YHVH promised our fathers in the faith many years ago.

The prophecies that we have studied in this sermon, deal with war and captivity. However, just as Noah and His family were protected from the flood that erased all life on earth, YHVH promises that He will spare all those who turn from their sin to His way of life. Nevertheless, we must never forget that YHVH does the calling as per John 6: 44. He promises Nazarene Israelites and like-minded believers, who keep His commandments and have faith in Yahshua protection from the great tribulation, as Yahshua also confirmed in Revelation 3: 10, saying: “Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth.” At Yahshua’s return to rule the world from Jerusalem, those of us called during this age together with our Torah observant Jewish Brothers will truly become the first fruits among Elohim’s creatures (James 1: 18), and will either be raised imperishable (those who died by then) or changed from perishable to imperishable (those alive at His return) as confirmed in 1 Corinthians 15: 51 – 53, as follows: “Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. (53) For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.” We will then rule as kings and priests under Yahshua, during the millennium (and beyond) as witnessed in Revelation 5:  9 & 10, in this way:  ‘And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to break its seals; for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for Elohim with Thy blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation (where the twelve tribes of Israel were scattered). (10) And Thou hast made them to be a kingdom and priests to our Elohim; and they will reign upon the earth.”  HalleluYah!

[1] Genesis 49: 10, ‘The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.’ Although Messiah already came, His first advent was to bring the lost sheep of Israel back to the covenant relationship with YHVH and not to rule the united Israel, as will happen when He returns in the near future.

[2] Matthew 23: 1 – 3: ‘Then Yahshua spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they (are only human and) say things, and do not do them.”

[3] Zechariah 13: 8 & 9: “And it will come about in all the land,” declares YHVH, “that two parts in it will be cut off and perish; but the third will be left in it. And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘YHVH is my Elohim.’”

[4] Assuming the population of the world is about 6 billion presently, a third equals 2 billion, and a tenth of that equals 2 hundred million. If the Israelites number about half the population of the world today, then only hundred million will live on into the Millennium. This corresponds with the promise that YHVH made to Moses in Deuteronomy 1: 11, to increase the Israelites that left Egypt a thousand fold more. We know that 600, 000 men plus woman and children, totaling about 3 million Israelites, left Egypt after the Passover.  A thousand time’s 3 million equals 3 billion Israelites. A tenth of a third of that equals 100 million.

[5] The house of Israel was to be punished for 2730 years, or 390 times 7 (as we read from Ezekiel 4: 5 and Leviticus 26: 27 – 28). 2730 from 721 – 718 BCE takes us from 2009 to 2012 CE. That is the time when our exile should have come to an end, but the house of Israel is totally oblivious of these dates, because most of us believe we are Gentiles and do not like ancient Israel cry out to YHVH the Elohim of Israel to come and fetch us and take us to the Promised land as He promised in His word. Even so, before we can expect Him to come and help us, we need to start studying and begin to obey His Torah teachings for all Israel.

[6] Acts 2: 38, ‘And Kepha said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be immersed in the name of Yahshua Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Set-apart Spirit.”’

[7] 1 Timothy 4: 14, ‘Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.’

[8] Ephesians 2: 13 – 16: ‘But now in Messiah Yahshua you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He Himself  is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity (or punishment of the law due to us from the lost ten tribes for disobeying Elohim’s Torah), which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances (or judgments), that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to Elohim through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.’
