What is our Job Function as Nazarene Israelites?

As Nazarene Israelite believers in YHVH, most of us know that we have been called out of the world to do a number of scripturally defined tasks as part of our daily lives, as given in amongst other the following Scriptures:

· Isaiah 62: 6 & 7: ‘On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind YHVH, take no rest for yourselves; (7) and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.’

· Isaiah 58: 1, “Cry loudly, do not hold back; raise your voice like a trumpet, and declare to My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.”

However, we have a much deeper purpose in that we have to assist our brethren from the northern ten tribes of Israel, also known as Ephraim who were estranged from YHVH the Elohim of all Israel to return to Him and His Torah. We need to assist in the re-gathering of members of the lost ten tribes to return to YHVH and His covenant, as well as to Brother Judah, so that ultimately the Kingdom of Elohim – the resurrected kingdom of Israel once ruled by King David, will be established on earth, as it is in heaven. We need to be the ones giving the lost ten tribes the good news of the raising of the tribes of Jacob that we may one day soon again be the people of Elohim, and fulfill the terms of the Covenant, as expressed in:

· Leviticus 26: 40 - 45: ‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me— (41) I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies—or if their uncircumcised heart becomes humbled so that they then make amends for their iniquity, (42) then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land. (43) For the land shall be abandoned by them, and shall make up for its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them. They, meanwhile, shall be making amends for their iniquity, because they rejected My ordinances and their soul abhorred My statutes. (44) Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so abhor them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am YHVH their Elohim. (45) But I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their Elohim. I am YHVH.’

· Jeremiah 30: 18 – 22: “Thus says YHVH, ‘Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be rebuilt on its ruin, and the palace shall stand on its rightful place. (19) And from them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; I will also honor them, and they shall not be insignificant. (20) Their children also shall be as formerly, and their congregation shall be established before Me; and I will punish all their oppressors. (21) And their leader shall be one of them, and their ruler shall come forth from their midst; and I will bring him near, and he shall approach Me; for who would dare to risk his life to approach Me?” declares YHVH. (22) “And you shall be My people, and I will be your Elohim.”’

· Isaiah 49: 13 – 16 & 26: ‘Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains! For YHVH has comforted His people, and will have compassion on His afflicted. (14) But Zion said, “YHVH has forsaken me, and YHVH has forgotten me.” (15) Can a woman forget her nursing child, and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. (16) Behold I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me. (26) And I will feed your oppressors with their own flesh, and they will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine; and all flesh will know That I, YHVH, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” This tells us clearly that YHVH Himself became our Savior and Redeemer!

The Elohim of Israel has decreed that when our time of punishment, meaning our estrangement from Him in dispersion would end, we would turn to Him as witnessed in:

· Deuteronomy 4: 25 – 31: “When you become a father of children and children’s children and have remained long in the land, and act corruptly, and make an idol in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the sight of YHVH your Elohim so as to provoke Him to anger, (26) I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you shall surely perish quickly from the land where you are going over the Jordan to possess it. You shall not live long on it, but shall be utterly destroyed. (27) And YHVH will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations, where YHVH shall drive you. (28) And there you will serve gods, the work of man’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell. (29) But from there you will seek YHVH your Elohim, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. (30) When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days, you will return to YHVH your Elohim and listen to His voice. (31) For YHVH your Elohim is a compassionate Elohim; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.”

· Isaiah 40: 2 – 5: “Speak kindly to Jerusalem; and call out to her, that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been removed, that she has received of (YHVH)’s hand double for all her sins.” (2) ‘A voice is calling, “Clear the way for YHVH in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our Elohim. (4) Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; (5) then the glory of YHVH will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of YHVH has spoken.”

· Jeremiah 30: 10: ‘And fear not, O Jacob My servant,’ declares YHVH, ‘and do not be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and no one shall make him afraid.’

· Micah 7: 18, ‘Who is an Elohim like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love.’

In fact YHVH informs us that at the appointed time of our awakening by the call of a shofar, a remnant of Jacob would begin to respond to His directives, as witnessed in:

· Hosea 2: 23, “And I will sow her for Myself in the land. I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion, and I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they will say, ‘Thou art my Elohim!’”

· Isaiah 51: 14 – 16: “The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. (15) For I am YHVH your Elohim, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (YHVH of hosts is His name). (16) And I have put My words in your mouth, and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”

Our purpose should be to start doing the command given us in Jeremiah 31: 6 & 7 in this way: “For there shall be a day when watchmen (Notzrim) on the hills of Ephraim shall call out, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to YHVH our Elohim.’” (7) For thus says YHVH, ‘sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chiefs of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say, O YHVH, save Thy people, the remnant of Israel.’” We read further from Psalm 50: 5, “Gather My godly ones to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” Amos warned the lost ten tribes from the house of Israel and we need to make them aware of his warning in Amos 4: 11 & 12, in this way: “I overthrew you as Elohim overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze; yet you have not returned to Me,” declares YHVH. (12) “Therefore, thus I will do to you, O Israel; because I shall do this to you, prepare to meet your Elohim, O Israel.” Amos continues to tell us how to prepare for the rehabilitation of Israel in Amos 5: 14 – 15, as follows: ‘Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and thus may YHVH Elohim of hosts be with you, just as you have said! (15) Hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the gate! Perhaps YHVH Elohim of hosts may be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.’ In fact we see that the prophet Hosea actually spoke about this searching in Hosea 3: 5, saying: ‘Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek YHVH their Elohim and David their king; and they will come trembling to YHVH and to His goodness in the last days.’ Jeremiah prophesied about this searching and yearning for Elohim whilst Israel is still in dispersion in Jeremiah 29: 12 – 14, saying: ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (13) And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. (14) And I will be found by you,’ declares YHVH, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares YHVH, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’

This is all in preparation for our Messiah to return, as Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 59: 19 - 21, saying: ‘So they will fear the name of YHVH from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun, for He will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of YHVH drives. (20) “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares YHVH. (21) “And as for Me, this is My covenant with them, says YHVH: My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from

your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says YHVH, “from now and forever.”’ Our search for YHVH involves a process of coming near to Him, after a long period of estrangement. To most that come from Churchianity it will be shocking to discover that they have been separated from Elohim for many years. We read further from Isaiah 59: 1 & 2: ‘Behold, (YHVH)’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; neither is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. (2) But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.’ However, when we begin to be awakened by Him, though we have very little spiritual strength at the beginning, YHVH encourages us in Isaiah 41: 8 – 14, saying: “But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham My friend, (9) you whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its remotest parts, and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. (10) Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your Elohim. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ (11) “Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; those who contend with you will be as nothing, and will perish. (12) You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, those who war with you will be as nothing, and non-existent. (13) For I am YHVH your Elohim, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you. (14) Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you,’ declares YHVH, ‘and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.’”

When we come out of the pagan religions of the world, we have to also give up its pagan traditions and customs and start serving YHVH our Elohim the way He prescribes in His word. As first-fruits called out of the world we have to start keeping the commandments of Elohim and our faith in what Messiah taught and did whilst He was on earth, as witnessed in Revelation 14: 12, in this way: ‘Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of Elohim and their faith in Yahshua.’ Faith in Yahshua means believing both in His name as the Salvation of YHVH and what He taught about 2,000 years ago, before returning to heaven. The good news is that YHVH our Healer promises us help in our return to Him from our uncleanness, to come near to Him again, as witnessed in Jeremiah 33: 7, 8 and 14 & 15, saying: ‘And I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel, and I will rebuild them as they were at first. (8) And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me, and by which they have transgressed against Me. (14) Behold, days are coming,’ declares YHVH, when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. (15) In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.’

Even though Elohim by His grace and mercy has already started to wake us up, without any help on our part, the continuance of the process is depended upon us to draw near to Him. Doing so by a few of us will not only speed up the process of redemption and mitigate the Divine judgments on the many but will also ensure a speedy deliverance and healing for the rest of the house of Israel, as Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 48: 8 & 9, saying: “You have not heard, you have not known. Even from long ago your ear has not been open, because I knew that you would deal very treacherously; and you have been called a rebel from birth. (9) For the sake of My name I delay My wrath, and for My praise I restrain it for you, in order not to cut you off.” According to the Scriptures, we are expected to turn to YHVH, when He begins to draw near to us, as Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 55: 6 & 7, saying: ‘Seek YHVH while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. (7) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to YHVH, and He will have compassion on him; and to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.’ It is at this point that we commence a reciprocal dialogue and interaction with YHVH our Elohim. The prophet Isaiah also wrote about the next step in our relationship with Elohim in Isaiah 58: 9 – 14, saying: “Then you will call, and YHVH will answer; you will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness. (10) And if you give yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness, and your gloom will become like midday. (11) And YHVH will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. (12) And those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell. (13) If because of the Sabbath, you turn your foot from doing your own pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of YHVH honorable, and shall honor it, desisting from your own ways, from seeking your own pleasure, and speaking your own words, (14) then you will take delight in YHVH, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of YHVH has spoken.” The prophet Jeremiah adds more details in Jeremiah 31: 8, saying: “Behold, I am bringing them from the north country, and I will gather them from the remote parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company, they shall return here.” What a fantastic privilege of actually becoming partakers in Elohim’s redemptive end time work.

For us as the house of Israel who have not obeyed Torah, this job function is an extraordinary measure of Elohim’s grace and favor. But what part of this redemptive service is incumbent on us as early trail blazing representatives of Joseph? We know that Yahshua told us that the road we are following is ‘the straight and narrow way’ which is a very narrow lonely road. It is abundantly clear that Ephraim is called to return to walk in and be partakers of the Torah heritage which Judah preserved for us, as we read from Nahum 1: 15, as follows: “Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace! Celebrate your feasts, O Judah; pay your vows. For never again will the wicked one pass through you; he is cut off completely.” A second witness comes from the book of Hosea which is addressed to the lost ten tribes, where Hosea wrote in the correct translation of Hosea 11: 12 (KJV), saying: ‘Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with Elohim and is faithful with the saints.’ Elohim’s admonition to those of us returning is recorded in Hosea 14: 1 – 3, in this way: ‘Return, O Israel, to YHVH your Elohim, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. (2) Take words (Torah) with you and return to YHVH. Say to Him, “Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips. (3) Assyria will not save us, we will not ride on horses; nor will we say again, ‘Our god,’ to the work of our hands; for in Thee the orphan finds mercy.’

It is only once we start doing this with our heart, mind and soul (meaning the way we live), that Elohim will help us to come out of captivity as witnessed in Psalm 50: 7 – 15, as follows: “Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you; I am Elohim, your Elohim. (8) I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, and your burnt offerings are continually before Me. (9) I shall take no young bull out of your house, nor male goats out of your folds. (10) For every beast of the forest is Mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. (11) I know every bird of the mountains, and everything that moves in the field is Mine. (12) If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and all it contains. (13) Shall I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of male goats? (14) Offer to Elohim a sacrifice of thanks giving, and pay your vows to the Most High; (15) and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.” At this time Elohim is looking forth for us as Ephraim to pay our vows. But what vows are we to pay and how are we to pay them? For us as prodigal Israel, there is only one answer – it is to be true once again to the Covenant that YHVH made with all Israel at Mount Sinai. It is to return to YHVH our Elohim once again and to become a kingdom of priests to the rest of Israel and to the world and show them how we as the true Israel of Elohim should serve YHVH as He specified in Torah and as expounded by Yahshua our Messiah in Matthew 5, 6 & 7. That is what true ‘witnessing’ is! It is standing up for the deliverance of all Israel, thereby making possible her actual liberation out of Babylon.

As a result the few trail blazers and representatives of Ephraim can together with Judah, start witnessing and as a result will draw more of our people to Elohim’s Torah ways, as witnessed in Isaiah 43: 10 - 12 in this way: “You are My witnesses”, declares YHVH, “and My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Elohim formed, and there will be none after Me. (11) I, even I, am YHVH; and there is no savior besides Me. (12) It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses,” declares YHVH, “and I am Elohim.” We should start praying for both houses of Israel to be united at this time – because that is truly when the Kingdom of Elohim will come to earth as it is now in heaven. YHVH further tells us in Psalm 50: 5 what to do, saying: “Gather My godly ones to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” Yes, we made a covenant by sacrifice when our forefathers stood at Mount Sanai, when they received Torah by the hand of Moses from YHVH, but we who are being called back have in fact renewed the covenant of Mount Sinai, when we were immersed in Yahshua’s saving name, for transgressing Elohim’ Torah. Yahshua reconciled us back to the Father but also back to Brother Judah.

We read confirmation about this from Ephesians 2: 11 – 16 in this way: ‘Therefore remember, that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Un-circumcision,” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— (12) remember that you were at that time separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without Elohim in the world. (13) But now in Messiah Yahshua you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. (14) For he Himself is our peace, who made both groups (or houses) into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, (15) by abolishing (or paying) in His flesh the enmity (or punishment), which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances (or judgments for our breaking of the Law), that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, (16) and might reconcile them both in one body to Elohim through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity (or punishment due).’ Even though Messiah died almost two thousand years ago, the end result of what He did will only come to fruition when He returns one day on Yom Teruah in the near future, when He will remarry both the house of Israel and the house of Judah, as Jeremiah prophesied in Jeremiah 31: 31 – 33, saying: “Behold, days are coming, declares YHVH, ‘when I will make a new (marriage) covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, (32) not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,’ declares YHVH. (33) ‘But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,’ declares YHVH, ‘I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.’” That will be when YHVH joins the house of Israel and the house of Judah together in His hand and will reestablish the commonwealth of Israel as the Kingdom of Elohim on earth, as YHVH tells us through Ezekiel in Ezekiel 37: 21 – 28, saying: “And say to them, thus says YHVH Elohim, ‘behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; (22) and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and they will no longer be divided into two kingdoms. (23) And they will no longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people and I will be their Elohim. (24) And My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes, and observe them. (25) And they shall live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers lived; and they will live on it, they, and their sons, and their son’s sons, forever; and David My servant shall be their prince forever. (26) And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever. (27) My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their Elohim, and they will be My people. (28) And the nations will know that I am YHVH who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.’”

However, It is important at this time to pray Psalm 80, especially written for Joseph in the latter days – it instructs us to ask Elohim to revive and strengthen us, as follows: ‘Oh, give ear, Shepherd of Israel, Thou who dost lead Joseph like a flock; Thou who art enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth! (2) Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Thy power, and come to save us! (3) O Elohim, restore us, and cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved. (4) O YHVH Elohim of hosts, how long wilt Thou be angry with the prayer of Thy people? (5) Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and Thou hast made them to drink tears in large measure. (6) Thou dost make us an object of contention to our neighbors; and our enemies laugh among themselves. (7) O Elohim of hosts, restore us, and cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved. (8) Thou didst remove a vine from Egypt; Thou didst drive out the nations, and didst plant it. (9) Thou didst clear the ground before it, and it took deep root and filled the land. (10) The mountains were covered with its shadow; and the cedars of Elohim with its boughs. (11) It was sending out its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the River. (12) Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, so that all who pass that way pick its fruit? (13) A boar from the forest eats it away, and whatever moves in the field feeds on it. (14) O Elohim of hosts, turn again now, we beseech Thee; look down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine. (15) Even the shoot which Thy right hand has planted, and on the son whom Thou hast strengthened for Thyself. (16) It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Thy countenance. (17) Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou didst make strong for Thyself. (18) Then we shall not turn back from Thee: revive us, and we will call upon Thy name. (19) O YHVH Elohim of hosts, restore us; cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.’

It is time that we as Nazarene Israelites wake up out of our slumber and do everything in our power to proclaim the coming Kingdom of Elohim to especially the lost sheep of the house of Israel and to ‘identify’ the true Messiah to them and the fact that He redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us, taking the punishment of our past Torah breaking upon Himself so that the blessings of Abraham might come to the Gentiles (called by Elohim’s name as per Acts 15: 17[1]), when the Tabernacle of David which has fallen will be rebuilt by YHVH and the kingdom of Israel over the commonwealth of Israel be establish as the prophet Amos attested in Amos 9: 11. Amein and Amein!
